BODY TECHNICIAN

Want your hours of blocking and panel gapping to be truly appreciated by the owner? Then you may be a great fit at D&L Restoration. 

Our family-owned restoration shop is looking to add a talented and motivated body technician. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automotive refinishing and be relentless in the pursuit of show quality bodywork, panel alignment, and panel fit. This is not an entry-level position. We want to connect with an experienced, passionate bodywork professional.

Some of the general skills that are required in this position include… 

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to envision a project’s end goal

• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask

• A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate on projects with others; a team player

• The ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

• Writing skills that can be translated on to task record keeping

• Basic computer skills

• Your own tools

Body Technician Skills Required:

• Long blocking entire vehicles

• Proficient use of body fillers

• Ability to assemble high-end classic and show cars

• Extremely high attention to detail

• Ability to keep the work area clean and well maintained at all times

• General mechanical experience and aptitude is a must and provable

• Knowledge of diagnostics, repair, and installation are preferred but not required

• Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, walk and lift 50+ lbs.
